Combining Coloring Mediums: Copic Markers & Prismacolor Pencils

I have created this tutorial for you after having received many questions on how I color. One technique which is very fun and easy to do is to combine mediums; using copic markers and prismacolor pencils together. The only rule is this: Always use your copic markers first and then add your prismacolor pencils. If you do the reverse you will ruin your copic markers and they are just to costly to have to replace!

Drawing with Permanent Markers: Five Tips

The permanent marker was made for mundane chores such as marking packages. It was never intended to render subtleties in a sketchbook drawing, such as the light falling across a child’s face. Toolbox : Basic Marker Cube

    Toolbox : Basic Marker Cube

Firstly, Light never hits a surface evenly, even a flat one. There are always inconsistencies and deviations in how a surface is lit. Secondly, filing in every bit of white space is nigh unto painting the object and less like a quicker sketch render. Leaving some white while having quick and confident strokes with a marker lends itself to having an exciting and interesting sketch render. A cube, though simple in form, can have excitement added to it with some wonderful marker application.

An Introduction to Markers - Markers can have the tendency to leak everywhere if not controlled right and you have to develop your own way of handling them or else things will come out streaky. Like any other medium, markers lend a different feel to colors and pictures in general. I personally think that markers can be the easiest to control amongst traditional liquid coloring techniques.

Art Markers Tutorial - Markers can give the same effect as paint without the mess of a pallet and brushes. They can be very inexpensive to buy, and they provide a uniform coat of color that is difficult to imitate with any other medium. However, water-based markers can create dimensional color with only a few extra steps.

Art Marker Pens: The Best Markers To Draw With - The best markers are the ones that are reliable and give quality results, but like anything the best markers are quite expensive, but there are also cheaper alternatives.

Copic Markers Tutorial - For a long time, many in the illustration and design fields have regarded Copic markers as the best markers available. They come in over 300 colors, are non-toxic and acid free and mix well with other media, like airbrush or colored pencil. Now that they are becoming more readily available outside of their country of origin, Japan, those wanting to create all kinds of art are taking advantage of their versatility and great appearance.

How to Draw with Prismacolor Markers - Prismacolor markers are some of the most popular markers in the world, used by everyone from beginning students in elementary art classes to professional artists. Prismacolor markers produce rich ink with a smooth flow for easy coloring and definition. Markers from Prismacolor come in a few shapes and many colors for optimal control over your work of art

How To Color with Prismacolor Markers - Prismacolor Markers are widely and popularly used by a lot of professionals from different art fields. They are always relied on when fast sketches need to look polished and graceful. They work wonderfully compared with the other coloring materials. Even though anybody use them, only those who know more about shading and coloring can achieve great results. Here are some instructions on how you can color using Prismacolor Markers:

How to Color With Prismacolor Markers - Coloring with Prismacolor markers is different than other types of coloring and works more like painting with watercolors than shading with markers, colors or pencils. While anybody can color with Prismacolor markers, those with strong backgrounds understanding the way light works in shading will have best results. Prismacolors are used in many art fields, from animation to architecture, to achieve a quick sketch that has a finished, professional feel.

How To Use Copic Markers - Before using Copic markers, prepare the necessary materials for your drawing. This will include a blender marker, marker paper and any other drawing materials you want to employ.

Marker and Felt-Tip Pen Drawing Techniques - Characteristics of markers and felt-tip pens in fine arts.

Prismacolor Marker Anime Tutorial - Prismacolor is a line of artistic tools featuring fine-tipped and wide markers suitable for the sharp outline and flat coloring techniques of anime artwork. At its most basic, anime is a relatively simple art form suitable for beginning artists. Using markers to create anime can allow you to learn the techniques and help you produce attractive anime art in the process.
