How to Draw Kangaroos and Baby Joey in Her Pouch Cartoon with Easy Step by Step Tutorial
Step 1
First, start the kangaroo cartoon by sketching out the basic shape of the mother kangaroo. Draw a circle for the face, an oval for the snout, a water drop shape for the kangaroo’s body. Draw a rectangle shape for each leg as well. Now you have the basic form of the kangaroo completed already.
Step 2
Now find the center of the circle. Now draw a vertical guide line and horizontal guide line within the circle.Draw an oval, for the kangaroo’s nose, at the top left of the snout oval. Also draw the kangaroo’s ears.
Step 3
Now draw a number ’7′ like shape (that is curved up at the top left) under the snout. Re-form the nose at the bottom, by drawing an ‘m’ like shape. Draw a curvy capital letter ‘A’ like shape for the eye. Draw a curved line under the eye.
Step 4
Draw a circle in the eye that you drew (for the pupil / iris). Draw a triangle at the top of this circle (for the eye’s highlight). Draw a number ’5′ like shape (in yellow) at the right side of the kangaroo.
Step 5
Draw a number ’7′ like shape, for the kangaroo’s arm. Draw a circle for each boxing glove (in green). draw a number ’11′ like shape for the kangaroo’s left arm (in yellow).
Step 6
Now reshape the gloves a bit (see the blue lines). Notice that the blue line on the right looks like a number ’7′. Also draw the thumb on the left glove.
Step 7
Now draw three letter ‘s’ like shapes (to start drawing the kangaroo’s feet). Draw an oval (finding the center again and making split down the center). Draw the mommy kangaroo’s pocket behind the baby kangaroo’s head. Also draw the glove’s thumb on the right hand’s glove.
Step 8
Draw the Kangaroo’s toes by drawing 2 backward letter ‘j’s on each foot. Draw the baby kangaroo (joey)’s eyes right above the center line. Also draw the nose right below the center line. Draw an oval for the baby’s arm that is peeking over the Mommy’s pocket. Draw the baby kangaroo’s ears as well.
Step 9 – Finished drawing of a Mommy Kangaroo with Boxing Gloves on and Baby Joey Kangaroo
Now draw the Mommy Kangaroo’s tail by drawing an upside down letter ‘v’ like shape. Also draw the smile on the baby kangaroo’s face by drawing a letter ‘w’ like shape. Also draw a letter ‘u’ like shape in each of the baby’s eyes.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a tattoo of a boxing kangaroo and this came up. It’s cooler than any tattoo that we have seen of the above theme so we are gonna add some color to this and use it. Very cute design but not too comical either!
Thanks a ton!
Also I’m trying to be good at drawing and this is an excellent website- I also like the helpful- draw while you learn widget you’ve put up on the side. Will visit often!
