I have put together a step-by-step tutorial that will help you figure out how to draw Grim by using simple shapes to build up her form. How to Draw Grim from Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy Step by Step Drawing Tutorial

Step 1

Start off drawing Grim by lightly sketching the basic shapes that make up his skull (head). Draw an oval shape. Below this draw a rectangle. And below this draw a square like shape. Notice the curve going on on the left side of the rectangle and square.

Step 2

Now draw a triangle on both sides of the middle rectangle, about where the oval and rectangle meed. Also draw an angled line from the top right corner of the square to about the middle-left of the square.

Step 3

Now, draw the bottom of the skull with more confident lines. Also draw 3 lines on the top of the mouth and 3 lines on the bottom of the mouth.

Step 4

Now draw a letter ‘L’ shape on the right side of the skull, above the mouth. Draw a triangle nose.

Step 5

Draw a curve on either side of the nose. Also draw a line above the eyes.

Step 6

Now draw the rest of the eyes by drawing 2 letter ‘u’ type curves, the one on the left is bigger.

Step 7

Draw a line above the eyes and 3 curves above the line.

Step 8

Now retrace parts of the top of the head with more confident lines.

Step 9

Now draw the front of Grim’s hood by drawing a line up and then draw a curve down to where Grim’s mouth is.

Step 10

Now do the same thing as the previous step, but start drawing it further forward than the first line.

Step 11

Now draw an upside down letter ‘u’ shape in front of the bottom of the hood. Then draw a sideways, thin rectangle in front of the upside down letter ‘u’.

Step 12

Now draw a bubble number ’7′ shape coming out of the rectangle, below the jaw.

Step 13

Now draw a rectangle shape coming out of the number ’7′ shape and it gets wider as you go further right. Now draw a rectangle coming out of the bottom of the rectangle shape that you drew in step #11. This rectangle gets wider at the bottom.

Step 14

Draw an oval at the bottom of the figure.

Step 15

Now draw upside down bubble letter ‘J’s coming out from the top of the oval.

Step 16

Now draw a thin stick like rectangle with a smaller oval at the bottom of this shape.

Step 17

Now draw a rectangle like shape that is wider at the top right.

Step 18

Now draw an oval at the left side of this rectangle for Grim’s thumb. Also draw an upside down letter ‘F’ shape at the right-top side of the rectangle hand.

Step 19

Now draw the rest of the fingers by drawing a ‘J’ shape on top of the thumb. Draw a number ’51′ type shape at the right-bottom side of the hand as well.

Step 20

Now draw a backwards letter ‘u’ shape that is closed. Draw 2 lines in it.

Step 21

Now draw a sideways rectangle shape that is split in half with a line.

Step 22

Now draw 3 more of Grim’s fingers by drawing 3 rectangles that are split in the half with a line.

Step 23

Draw a sideways, rounded-like letter ‘v’ shape on the stick for the scythe.

Step 24

Now draw another curved line at the bottom…and then 3 lines for the glare.

Step 25 – Finished Drawing of Grim from Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy

Now you just have to erase lines that you don’t need and outline the ‘correct’ lines with a pen or marker. If you are having problems figuring out which lines to erase, then reference my drawing (above) for help. With the thick outside dark marker line, doesn’t Grim look Awesome?!
