Groundhogs Day is coming up in a few days and I thought that we could show you how to draw a cartoon Groundhog, just in case you want to draw one to celebrate the holiday. Either way, you can learn how to draw a Groundhog / Woodchuck, below in simple-to-follow, step by step drawing instructions.

How to Draw Cartoon Groundhogs and Woodchucks Step by Step Drawing Lesson

Step 1

Step 1. Start off by drawing the basic shapes of the face. Create a circle for the head also nose and eyes. Add an oval for the cheek and ovals for the ears

Step 2

Step 2. Draw rounded rectangles for the teeth and curved lines for the mustache. Add 2 ovals for the body.

Step 3

step 3.  Create curved lines for the arms and add small circles with lines for the hands and fingers.

Step 4

step 4. Draw around the guidelines of the arms to fill the shape, add details as hair. Create a rounded shape for the tail, and circles for the feet, also draw an oval inside the body to create the chest an belly

Step 5. Erase the guidelines  and fill the feet with black.
