Now draw the chicken’s neck. If it helps you draw the neck, think of the curvy lines as a collection of ‘U’s.
Now draw the chicken’s wing. You can think of it as a rectangle shape with a bunch of curves or ‘Ms’ on the right side.
Now draw an egg shape body for the chicken.
At the bottom of the oval shape that you just drew for the chicken’s body, draw a bunch of curvy ‘W’s or ‘U’s for the top of the chicken’s leg.
Now draw the feathers on the back side of the chicken’s body. Again, think of the shape as a rectangle, with a bunch of curvy humps or ‘M’s at the top of the rectangle. The curves don’t have to be perfect to look good.
Now start drawing the chicken’s legs and feet. The feet are ovalish shaped and then just draw 3 lines on top of the ovals. Draw this lightly as we are going to refine these shapes.
Step 13 – Finished Chicken / Hen Drawing Tutorial
Now you can see the the chicken’s right foot looks a bit like an upside down bubble letter ‘T’ with an extra bump coming out of the top of it. Also draw the chicken’s nails (look like ‘V’s). Now you just have to erase lines that you don’t need and outline the ‘correct’ lines with a pen or marker. If you are having problems figuring out which lines to erase, then reference my drawing (above) for help. Now you will have an amazing cartoon Chicken / Hen drawing to show off to your friends.
