How to Draw Swans with Easy Step by Step Drawing Lesson

Step 1

Start off by lightly sketching a triangle shape.

Step 2

Now lightly sketch an oval that is at an angle….and then draw another smaller one at the top right side of the triangle.

Step 3

Now lightly sketch 2 letter ‘s’ like shapes (I highlighted them in green), connecting the 2 ovals together. Draw a sideways letter ‘v’ (highlighted in purple).

Step 4

Now this is the shape that you should have.

Step 5

Darken up those lines.

Step 6

Put in some of the details. The front feathers are sort of in oval like shapes….the back feathers are in half-oval like shapes. Draw some water at the bottom with a curvy line.

Step 7

This is what your swan should look like now.

Step 8 – Finish up Your Swan with Finishing Details

Add the finishing details, such as shading and hatch lines. Show off your Swan drawing to your family and friends. I hope that you had fun.
