How to Draw Cartoon Donkeys or Mules in Easy Step by Step Drawing Tutorial

How to Draw Cartoon Baby Donkeys or Mules in Easy Step by Step Drawing Tutorial

Step 1

Start off by drawing a circle for the donkey’s head. You can draw guidelines around the head to help place facial features (just draw a line around the head like you would around a ball). Draw a kidney bean or lima bean shaped body. Connect the head and body with lines for the neck.

Step 2

Draw stick figure legs as seen above. These will help you draw the actual legs.

Step 3

Now draw around the stick figure legs as you see above.

Step 4

Now draw an oval for the donkey’s snout. Draw 2 ovals for the eye and iris / pupil of the eye.

Step 5

Draw ovals for ears….draw an upside down letter ‘v’ on the top right ear. Draw a sideways letter ‘u’ for the pupil of the eye. Draw a letter ‘J’ like shape for the smile.

Step 6

Draw the right ear’s inner ear by duplicating the outer ear inside the ear – just smaller. Draw the hair with zig-zaggy ‘M’ like shapes.

Step 7

Draw the tail.

Step 8

Add some finishing details…such as fur and hooves and you have a pretty cute donkey on your hands.

Step 9
