Today we will show you how to draw Funky Kong from Wii Mario Kart with the following step by step drawing tutorial. Funky Kong lives on Donkey Kong Island and belongs to the famous Kong Family. He is well known as Donkey Kong’s best friends.

How to Draw Funky Kong from Wii Mario Kart in Easy Steps Lesson

Step 1

Start off with a standing oval and a ‘+’ guide around his face to help you place facial features in the right spot.

Step 2

Then draw a rough potato shape just below the oval.

Step 3

Add a half circle below that.

Step 4

Draw thick arms at the shoulders tipped with circular hands …do this with oval shapes for the arms.

Step 5

Next draw the legs, but less thicker than the arms….do this again with oval shapes.

Next, we will sketch in Funky’s face. Give him a silly grin, some shades and his trademark bandanna.

Face : Step 1

Since Funky Kong’s face might be more difficult for you, I will break it down into simpler shapes. First of all…Draw 2 more lines above the first horizontal line (highlighted in red)…with the same curve to it. Draw an oval for the ear (highlighted in blue). Draw a hamburger-like shape (highlighted in both green and blue). Also…notice that his bandanna has ovals in it as the pattern.

Face : Step 2

Draw a sideways-backwards capital ‘J’. Draw a sideways number ‘3’ for the nose. Draw a letter ‘T’ in the ear. Draw a letter ‘C’ and an upside down letter ‘U’ for the eyes. Also draw 2 curved lines (highlighted in blue) for part of the bandanna’s shape.
