How to Draw D.W. from PBS’s Arthur with Simple Step by Step Cartooning Lesson

Step 6

Draw two circles for each ear and draw an oval for each pupil. Draw a letter ‘J’ shape for the mouth.

 

Step 7

Draw a letter ‘V’ shape by the right ear and a sideways number ‘5’ shape for her hairline.  Draw two curved lines for the hair.

 

Step 8

Draw curved lines to finish her hair and then start drawing her dress by drawing lines.

Step 9

Draw a letter ‘C’ shape by her arm for her sleeve and a letter ‘Y’ shape for under her arm. Trace the outside of the ovals for her legs.

 

Step 10

Draw the bottom of her skirt like shown in the above illustration. Draw sideways letter ‘S’ shapes, sideways letter ‘D’ shapes and curved lines for the shoes.

 

Step 11

Finish  her hair and shoes.

  • Wow that was so nice and easy to draw maybe you guys could teach some more drawings ha am just joking my talent is already drawing, what's you guys own talents . Well I love Arthur it's a very nice and funny and understanding cartoon.

  • Why are the outlines on the TV version discontinuous? (Once you start noticing it become very distracting!)

    • Hi Jay, I never noticed that, that would distract me too. My kids don't watch it any more so I haven't watched it in a while. You should ask PBS, maybe they can answer that for you.
