Step 1

Start your sketch with pillow shape on its side. Add an elongated oval crossing it just below the middle.

Step 2

Next draw a rough slanted rectangle for the body.

Step 3

Add circles for the shoulders, and extend them with slender arms.

Step 4

Now, draw the legs and feet. Use the same slender shapes.

Step 5

Draw Basil’s eyes. Give them a slight squint to show he’s thinking.

Step 6

Draw his mouse ears and face. Add a few stray tufts of hair to make him look furry.

Step 7

Now draw his coat, with a single button on is belly.

Step 8

Draw his hands next. Add a pipe, Basil’s favorite accessory.

Step 9

Finally, draw his feet and tail.
