How to Draw Manga Eyes Easy Steps Anime Drawing Lesson

Step 1

In order to space the Anime eyes out properly, lets start by making guidelines (as seen above).

Step 2

– Draw letter ‘U’ shapes in the outside grid boxes.

Step 3

– Draw a sideways letter ‘v’ for the nose.

– Draw curved lines on top of the letter ‘U’ shapes.

Step 4

– Draw curved lines above the eyes for the eye lids.

– Draw ovals inside the eyes.

Step 5

– Draw an oval in each eye.

– Draw a thickened lower eye lid for each eye.

Step 6

– Draw a curved line on the top of each eye.

– Draw an oval in each eye.

– Draw letter ‘v’ eye lashes on the lower lids.

Step 7

– Erase the guidelines.

Step 8

– Draw a sideways letter ‘v’ shape on each side of the eyes to finish up the lashes.

– Draw upside down letter ‘u’ shapes inside the eyes.

Finished Drawing of Anime Eyes

– Now color them in. I used blue for the eye color. Above the blue is a darker tint of blue.

– The inside of the eye is black and the highlight within the black is a light grey.
