How to Draw Schroeder Playing Piano from The Peanuts Movie – Step by Step Drawing Tutorial

Written Out Step by Step Instructions

(Step 1) Start off by drawing a large #6 shape. This will be Schroeder’s body. Then draw a letter ‘C’ shaped head. Draw his collar and legs.

(Step 2) Draw a letter ‘C’ shaped shoulder. Draw a sideways ?-shape for his finger. Draw neck and sock.

(Step 3) Draw letter ‘M’-like shape for the hair on top of his head. Draw a backwards letter ‘C’ shape for his shoe. Draw letter ‘C’ shapes for his ear.

(Step 4) Lightly draw rectangles for the guidelines to his piano. Draw a #3 and letter ‘S’ shape for his hair. Draw a letter ‘C’ shape for the bangs’ guide. Draw a ?-shape for his nose and the top of his hand. Draw a curved line at top of shoe and at the bottom of his shirt.

(Step 5) Draw an oval for his eye. Draw a curved line for his cheek. Draw a #3 shape for his fingers. Add curved lines to bottom of shoe and to the piano. Draw ovals for the bow on his laces.

(Step 6) Add an oval in his eye for the highlights. Continue to add fingers to his hands. Draw a letter ‘S’ shape on the back of the piano. Draw letter ‘U’ shapes at the bottom of the piano. Draw a curved line at the back of the piano.

(Step 7) Draw curved lines in his shoes and at the back of his shirt. Finish up his hands. Draw a wavy line at the top of his head. Add to piano shape.

(Step 8) Add stripes to his shirt…make them wavy or curved…so the shirt looks like it is 3-dimensional. Draw circles in his shoe. Add to piano.

(Step 9) Draw curved line in his hair. Draw letter ‘c’ shaped curv ed lines for the black parts of the keys on the piano.

(Step 10) Draw lines for the keys on the piano. Draw a letter ‘S’ shape on his bangs…draw curved lines in his bangs as well.

(Step 11) Erase guidelines and darken / thicken remaining lines.
