How to Draw Cartoon Pterodactyls Using the Word Step by Step Drawing Tutorial

This is a silly tutorial, I know. haha. But someone recommended this tutorial and I thought it was a hilarious idea and took it up as a challenge.  In this tutorial you will learn how to draw a cartoon Pterodactyl by first writing out the word Pterodactyl. You will need lined paper for this one. Have fun…I hope you are able to do it!

How to Draw Cartoon Pterodactyls Using the Word Pterodactyl – Easy Steps Drawing Lesson (Word Fun)

Written Out Step-by-Step Instructions

(Step 1) I think it will be easier for you if you pull out some lined paper. Then on the side of the paper letter and number the paper … C, B, A, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 – this will make it easier for you when spacing out the letters that you are to draw.

(Step 1 -4) Write out PTERODACTYL on the paper, as I did.

(Step 5) Now we can start drawing out the shape of the Pterodactyl. Draw a Letter ‘A’ shape for the left wing. Draw a sideways letter ‘S’ shape for the right wing. Draw a curved line on the bottom of the right wing. Draw a letter ‘U’ shape for the beak of the dinosaur. Draw a dot in the eye and make the top of the eye and little rounder.

(Step 6) Draw a curved, capital letter ‘A’ shape on top of the dinosaur’s head. Draw a letter ‘C’ shape for the left eye. Draw a dot for the nostril. Draw a curved line in the right wing. Draw a letter ‘c’ shaped curve on the tummy. Draw 2 curved lines for the bottom of the beak.

(Step 7) Draw curved lines in the wings. Draw a letter ‘L’ shape on each wing. Draw a #3 shape on the top of each wing. Draw letter ‘C’ shaped curves for the feet. Draw a #3 shape for the teeth.

(Step 8) draw more #3 shapes for teeth. Draw letter ‘U’ shapes for the tips on the wings. Draw some letter ‘c’ shapes for toes.

(Step 9) draw an upside down ?-like shape in the mouth. Finish off the toes with more letter ‘C’ shapes.
