Written-Out Step by Step Instructions

(Step 1) Draw 2 overlapping ovals (these are guidelines so draw them lightly). This will be the head later on.

(Step 2) Lightly draw a letter ‘S’ shape that is 3.5 heads high. This is the basic body shape.

(Step 3) Draw letter ‘U’ shaped ears. Draw an upside down ‘L’ shape on the left of the body, and an oval on the right side. Form the bottom of the body into a letter ‘W’.

(Step 4) Draw inner ears. Draw sideways letter ‘D’ shaped eyes. Draw ovals for fingers. Outline the left arm guides. Draw a letter ‘D’ shape for right foot…draw a curved line with 2 straight lines for right foot.

(Step 5) Draw half circles for inner eyes. Draw a rectangle in right hand. Draw A curved line at neck, arms, waist, and ankles.

(Step 6) Draw half circle in each eye again. Draw ovals in the fingers. Draw curved lines in feet. Draw letter ‘C’ shaped tail. Draw letter ‘S’ shapes in rectangle and chest for badges…also on left shoulder. Draw ‘c’ shaped nostrils…and a curved line for mouth.

(Step 7) Draw some curved lines on face. Draw ‘s’ shapes on both badges again and a flattened ‘w’ shape at top of each badge. Draw ‘c’ shapes on knees. Draw some details on belt, wrists, and feet.

(Step 8) Draw some details on badge and belt. Draw ‘c’ shapes on knees…and finish up collar.

(Step 9) Finishing details.

(Step 10) Erase remaining guidelines that you don’t need any more and darken remaining lines.
