How to Draw Cartoon Harry Potter from the letters ‘HP’ Step by Step Drawing Tutorial

Written-Out Step by Step Instructions

(Step 1) Write out the letters “HP”.

(Step 2) Draw a curved line on top of the letter ‘H’ and a line on the right of the ‘P’. These will be Harry’s eyes.

(Step 3) Draw a curved line in the left eye and a line in the center of the right eye.

(Step 4) Draw a curved line in the right eye…fill in these shapes. These are Harry’s pupils.

(Step 5) Draw lines at the bottoms of the eyes.

(Step 6) Draw a circle around each eye.

(Step 7) Draw curved check-mark shapes for eye brows. Draw a line between the glasses’ lenses. Draw the tip of the nose.

(Step 8) Thicken up the eye brows. Draw a line across the nose.

(Step 9) Draw upside down letter ‘j’ shapes at the sides of the nose. Draw a ‘v’-like shape below the nose…this will be the mouth.

(Step 10) Draw ovals for nostrils. Draw upwards curved lines on the mouth.

(Step 11) Draw lines on sides of the glasses. Draw curved lines at sides of smile. Draw bottom of lip.

(Step 12) Draw the shape of the face.

(Step 13) Draw bangs…a bunch of zig-zags. Draw letter ‘c’ shapes for ears.

(Step 14) Draw the other bangs…in the other direction (towards the left) this time. Draw the top of the head.

(Step 15) Draw the sides of the hair. Draw a rectangle (for the highlight) on the lip.

(Step 16) Draw a letter ‘M’ shape below Harry’s head for the collar.

(Step 17) Draw a letter ‘v’ shape under the collar. Draw the top of the tie.

(Step 18) Draw the shoulders, as well as the the sides & bottom of the tie.

(Step 19) Draw strips on the tie.

(Step 20) Draw a letter ‘z’ shape for the lightning on his forehead.

(Step 21) And Harry Potter is finished.
