Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions

(Step 1) Draw an uppercase letter ‘D’ shape.

(Step 2) Lightly draw guide-lines around the letter ‘D’, just as we have.

(Step 3) Draw a sideways, uppercase letter ‘B’ shape for the eyes.

(Step 4) Draw a sideways ?-like shape for the beak. Draw a letter ‘U’ shape for the wing. Draw lines for the legs.

(Step 5) Draw ovals in the eyes. Draw an upside down letter ‘U’ shape for the wing.

(Step 6) Draw a circle in each eye. Draw a letter ‘C’ shape around the beak. Lightly draw feet guidelines.

(Step 7) Draw the forehead. Draw lines around the feet guidelines.

(Step 8) Erase some of the guidelines. Draw a #3 shape in the wing. Draw letter ‘W’ shape for the feathers around the thigh areas.

(Step 9) Draw wiggly #3 shapes. Draw a feather shape which can be drawn by drawing a letter ‘U’ shape that is pinched together at the top.

(Step 10) Draw a letter ‘M’-like shape between both of the eyes. Draw two letter ‘J’ shapes at the wing area.

(Step 11) Draw a line between the eyes. Draw a letter ‘m’ and sideways #2 shape around the wing area.
