Learn How to Draw Cartoon Witch and Black Cat Word Cartoons Simple Steps Drawing Lesson for Kids

Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions

(Steps 1 – 3) Write the word “witch” in the way I have in the illustrations.

(Step 4) Draw lines down from the letter ‘w’ to form a witch’s hat.

(Step 5) Draw lines down from the ends of the letter ‘w’ to form tall triangles (these will be her braids).

(Step 6) Draw triangles at the ends of the braids. Draw an oval for the brim of the hat.

(Step 7) Draw a curved line on the hat. Draw a letter ‘L’ shape for the left side of her face.

(Step 8) Draw a dot for her right eye. Turn the letter ‘c’ into a circle for the witch’s cauldron.

(Step 9) Draw an oval on the cauldron. Draw a letter ‘G’ shape for her nose.

(Step 10) Draw a #8 shape for her hands / fists.

(Step 11) Draw 2 lines for the stick.

(Step 12) Draw 2 lines coming out of each hand, for arms.

(Step 13) Draw a curved end to the stick. Draw a line on each hand for the thumbs sticking out.

(Step 14) Draw a #7 for part of the tail. Draw an oval for the head.

(Step 15) Draw two #5 shapes for the legs of the cat.

(Step 16) Draw letter ‘v’ shapes for the cat’s ears. Draw ovals for eyes.

(Step 17) Draw lines for her bangs. Draw a sideways #3 shape for the cat’s mouth.

(Step 18) Draw letter ‘x’ shapes in the braids.

(Step 19) You can draw lines in the braids if you want it to look like hair. Also draw a wavy line at the bottom of the stick so it looks like it is dipping into the liquid potion.

(Step 20) Erase lines that you no longer need.
