Today I’ll show you how to draw or paint a city landscape (cityscape) silhouette in front of a beautiful sunset. You can use colored pencils, markers, oil or chalk pastels, acrylic or oil paint. Written Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions

(Steps 1 through 5) Draw a yellow circle. Then draw a light orange ring around it. Then draw a darker orange ring around that. Then draw a red ring around that. Then draw a pink ring, then a magenta ring, then a purple ring, then a dark blue ring, then a lighter blue ring.

(Step 6) Draw some white, light yellow and other shades of yellow in the yellow circle.

(Steps 7-9) In each ring of color paint or draw dashes with different shades of that color. So, for example, on the orange ring, draw different dashes with shades of orange. On the pink rink, draw dashes with different shades of pink.

(Steps 10-11) Draw black rectangles that are connected together with lines to form a city silhouette.

(Step 12A) Color it in black.

(Step 12B) Color the city silhouette in dashes of different shades of dark blue.
