Today we will show you how to draw a star fish and a cartoon star fish. This is a pretty easy aquatic creature to make…but it is a little bit difficult to make him cute. Learn below how to do this, with easy-to-follow, step by step, illustrated instructions. Have fun.
How to Draw Cartoon Star Fish in Easy Step by Step Drawing Lesson
First off, try to lightly draw a perfect circle. Draw a dot in the center and draw dashes in the spots noted above.
Now draw lines from the center dot out to the dashes that you drew.
Now draw around the lines that you drew, in the fashion drawn above…sort of like letter ‘v’ shapes.
Now if you want to draw a realistic looking star fish, then draw the patterns above. IF YOU WANT TO DRAW THIS AS A CARTOON, DON’T DRAW THIS YET … instead continue to step #5.
Draw an oval for each eye.
Draw another 2 ovals within the eye shapes.
Now draw a highlight, white outlined circle…for the glow of the eye.
Draw an upside down letter ‘u’ for the nose. Draw the mouth as 2 curved lines connected at the ends…with 2 more curved lines…as pictured above. You can now add the little lines and texture marks that we skipped above.
If you want a younger look … add 2 teeth at the bottom of the mouth. You can also add highlights to the fish by adding white on the edges of the fish’s arms. You can also add eye brows above the eyes. I hope that you had a ton of fun.
