How to Draw Hank the Octopus and Dory from Finding Dory – Step by Step Drawing Tutorial

Today I will show you how to draw Hank, the octopus, holding Dory in a coffee pot. This is slightly more difficult than our other tutorials, so don’t get frustrated if it is too hard for you. The steps can be found below…have fun!

Learn How to Draw Hank the Octopus and Dory from Finding Dory – Step by Step Drawing Tutorial

Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions

(Step 1) Lightly draw a triangle…this is a guide and will be erased later.

(Step 2) Lightly draw a rectangle with the right side longer than the left side. Then draw an oval to the right of it.

(Step 3) Lightly draw guidelines thru the middle of the rectangle. Draw odd-shaped ovals for eyes. Draw curved lines on both sides of triangle. Draw a sideways letter ‘V’-like shape in the oval.

(Step 4) Draw 2 curved lines above the oval (this is Dory). Draw a line inside of Dory. Add ovals and curved lines around Hank’s eyes. Draw an upside down letter ‘S’-like shape on the left of Hank and a letter ‘J’-like shape on the right side.

(Step 5) Add a circle inside each of Hank’s eyes. Draw curved lines above his eyes. Draw more curved lines on Hank, as well as another upside down letter ‘S’-like shape. Draw 2 circles for Dory’s eyes. Draw a sideways letter ‘P’ shape for Dory’s mouth. Draw A curved lines and a line to Dory’s coffee pot.

(Step 6) Continue adding details to Hank…as well as more letter ‘S’-like curves. Draw a ?-shape inside of Dory…as well as a backwards #7-shape on his forehead. Also draw a few other curved lines. Continue to add to the coffee pot.

(Step 7) Draw an upside down letter ‘U’ shape on top of Hank’s head and on the bottom right side of his body. Continue to draw his tentacles. Also draw another ?-like shape on Dory…draw a circle in each eye and add a curvy line to the back of his back fin.

(Step 8) Continue to draw tentacles on Hank. Draw a letter ‘U’ shape for side fin and back fin.

(Step 9) Draw a curved line on top of coffee pot. Draw finishing details of Dory. Add some more details to Hank’s body.

(Step 10) Draw #7 shapes to back of Coffee pot. Draw curved line inside of Dory and to the right-ish tentacle. Draw a bunch of lines on tentacles.

(Step 11) Draw curved lines to lines you just drew…although some of them get an oval. Also draw circles on right-ish tentacles. Also draw some lines on coffee pot.

(Step 12) Finish Hank up.
