How to Draw Kawaii Chibi Gene from Bob’s Burgers Simple Steps Drawing Lesson

Today I will show you how to draw a cute, kawaii, chibi version of Gene from Bob’s Burgers. Gene is the son of Bob and Linda, and he is always wearing the yellow shirt.  We based this drawing on the Funko /Dorbz Gene Action Figure on Amazon. We thought it was really cute, except we changed the eyes a bit to make it look more like the actual character.

Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions

(Step 1) Draw an oval for the head.

(Step 2) Lightly draw guidelines thru the center.

(Step 3) Draw an upside down letter ‘U’ shape for the body.

(Step 4) Draw a curved line on top of the head.

(Step 5) Draw a curved line at the bottom of the body.

(Step 6) Draw a curved line for the smile

(Step 7) Draw a letter ‘j’ shape for each arm.

(Step 8) Draw a curved line at stomach area and a line on each arm.

(Step 9) Draw a curved line for each eye.

(Step 10) Draw a line at bottom of head and a curved line at bottom of body as well.

(Step 11) Draw a curved line for each ear and a curved line at bottom of body again.

(Step 12) Draw a letter ‘W’ shape for hair on both sides of Gene’s head. Draw a curved line at bottom of body again.

(Step 13) Draw a letter ‘Y’ shape for the part in between the legs.

(Step 14) Draw a blockish letter ‘W’-like shape at top of head.

(Step 15) Draw another blockish letter ‘w’-like shape for the bangs on the other side of the head.
