Today I will show you how to draw a kawaii / chibi version of the mom (Linda) from Bob’s Burgers. She is the one with the red glasses and red shirt. We based this chibi Linda from the Funko Dorbz Linda Action Figure on Amazon. We changed it up a bit, lowering the glasses and eyes to make it cuter.

We will break down this drawing tutorial into simple steps that you can understand…in fact we broke it down into more than 20 steps to simplify it for you as much as possible. Happy Drawing!

Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions

(Step 1) Draw an oval for the head.

(Step 2) Lightly draw guidelines thru the center.

(Step 3) Draw an upside down letter ‘U’ shape for the body.

(Step 4) Draw a letter ‘m’-like shape on top of the head (for her hair).

(Step 5) Draw a curved line for her smile. Draw an upside down wide letter ‘v’ shape for Linda’s bangs.

(Step 6) Draw a curved line at the bottom of Linda’s body. Draw a line at bottom of the face.

(Step 7) Draw letter ‘U’-like shapes for bottom of glasses.

(Step 8) Draw a curved line at Top of the glasses.

(Step 9) Draw a letter ‘j’ shape for each arm.

(Step 10) Outline each side of the glasses.

(Step 11) Draw a letter ‘u’ shape for the curved part at the bottom of her hair. Draw a curved line in center of the body.

(Step 12) Draw two curved lines at the bottom of her body. Draw 2 lines for center of glasses.

(Step 13) Draw a line at sides of glasses. Draw a curved line for each eye. Draw a line at top of shirt.

(Step 14) Draw a curved line inside each side of glasses. Draw a letter ‘L’ for sides of glasses.

(Step 15) Draw a sideways letter ‘j’ shape for bottoms of hair. Draw 2 circles for buttons at top of Linda’s shirt.

(Step 16) Draw top of rectangle for pocket on her apron. Draw a line for bottom of apron.

(Step 17) Draw curved line for each side of apron. Draw a line for center of legs.

(Step 18) Draw a curved line for bottom of apron pocket. Draw a rectangle for pen. Draw a line on each side of apron for the strap part.

(Step 19) Draw a line on both sides of Linda’s glasses. Draw a small rectangle for part of the pen.

(Step 20) Erase any guide-lines and lines that you don’t need any more.

(Step 21) You can color in Linda (Mom) if you have the time.
