Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions

(Step 1) Draw a square with rounded corners.

(Step 2) Lightly draw guidelines thru it – we will erase these at the end.

(Step 3) Draw an oval for the nose, using the guidelines to help you place it. Draw 2 lines for the neck.

(Step 4) Draw 2 lines above the nose and a rectangle below the neck.

(Step 5) Draw a line above the nose and below the neck. Draw two letter ‘c’ shapes for ears.

(Step 6) Draw 4 lines above the nose. Draw two downward angled lines below the neck.

(Step 7) Draw 4 lines at nose level. Draw 2 curved lines around the neck for the bow tie.

(Step 8) Draw two letter ‘L’ shapes for part of the body.

(Step 9) Draw a sideways letter ‘s’ curve for the mouth. Draw 2 angled lines above the nose.

(Step 10) Draw a #3 in one of the ears and a letter ‘z’ in the other ear.

(Step 11) Draw 2 lines and 2 curved lines.

(Step 12) Draw a circle in each eye and a letter ‘w’ shape for hair.

(Step 13) Draw two upside down letter ‘F’ shapes for arms.

(Step 14) Draw 4 lines and part of a rectangle for the belt.

(Step 15 – 16) Draw a few lines.

(Step 17) Draw two sideways #7 shapes on the hairline.

(Step 18) Draw some curved lines.

(Step 19) Draw sideways #3 shapes for hands.

(Step 20-21) Draw sideways #3 shapes for eyebrows.

(Step 22) Draw a sideways #3 shape on the hair and for shoes. Draw a rectangle in the belt.

(Step 23) Color Carl in if you have the time.
