How to Draw a Hand Holding a Cell Phone / iPhone in Easy Step by Step Drawing Tutorial

Today I’m going to show you how to draw someone holding a cell phone / iPhone / smart phone in their hand. Since everyone seems to be carrying smart phones / cell phones every where they go, I figured you might want to learn how to draw one. This is also a great lesson for teaching you how to draw an iPhone / cell phone in someone’s hand. I have broken down this tutorial into many steps in order to make it as easy as possible for you to learn how to draw. Have fun and happy drawing!

Learn How to Draw iPhones / Smart Phones Being Held by a Hand : Simple Steps Drawing Lesson

Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions

(Step 1) Draw 4 lines to almost form a rectangle that is slanted towards the right.

(Step 2) Draw a rectangle inside this shape.

(Step 3) Draw curved lines connecting the outer lines.

(Step 4) Draw a tiny circle and two lines on the top of the phone.

(Step 5) You might have to zoom in to see this (click on the picture to make it larger). There are 3 ovals on the left side for buttons. Draw a tiny circle on the top of the phone.

(Step 6) Draw a sideways letter ‘U’ shape on either side of the 2 lines that you drew. Draw a large circle at the bottom of the cell phone. Draw a button the right.

(Step 7) Lightly draw guidelines on the bottom of the phone. These will be erased at the end. These will just help you make sure that the hand corresponds with the fingers.

(Step 8) Draw three letter ‘j’ shapes.

(Step 9) Draw an upside down letter ‘U’ shape for the thumb. Draw an upside down ?-like shape on the right of the phone.

(Step 10) Draw lines on the fingers that are on the left.

(Step 11) Draw a line on the top-most finger. Draw a #7 shape below the phone. Draw a curved line as well.

(Step 12) Draw curved lines on the thumb. Draw a curved line for the nail on the top-most finger.

(Step 13) Draw a curved line on the thumb. Draw backwards letter ‘j’ curved on the two fingers that are on the left.

(Step 14) Draw 2 lines on the thumb nail. Draw curved lines on the two left-most fingers.

(Step 15) Draw a line on the thumb. Draw 2 curved lines on the right side of the thumb.

(Step 16) Draw a curved line on the thumb nail. Draw a curved line below the thumb.

(Step 17) Draw a backwards ? shape on the left side of the hand. Draw a line as well.
