How to Draw a Cute Chibi Boy Easy Step by Step Drawing Tutorial for Kids & Beginners

Written-Out Step by Step Drawing Instructions

All the blue lines in this tutorial are guide lines. Draw them lightly as they will be erased later on.

(Step 1) Lightly draw an oval guide line.

(Step 2) Lightly draw a sideways “E”-like shape.

(Step 3) Draw an upside down “?”-like shape…using the guide lines to help you place it. Don’t draw the dot.

(Step 4) Draw different sized ovals for eyes. Use the guide lines to place them.

(Step 5) Draw 2 ovals in each eye – looks like sideways #8 shapes.

(Steps 6 + 7) Draw 2 curved lines to form the tops of the eyes.

(Step 8) Draw “V”-like shaped eye lashes. Draw a “C” shape for the ear.

(Step 9) Draw a backwards “S” shape in the ear. Draw a line for the nose.

(Step 10) Draw a “W”-like shape for the hair.

(Step 11) Draw curved lines on the forehead.

(Step 12) Draw a curved line and 2 curved “V” shapes for bangs.

(Step 13) Lightly draw a partial circle guide line for the hair. This line will be erased later on. Draw a few lines on the circle guide lines.

(Step 14) Draw curved lines connecting the lines on the hair guide line. Draw a sideways “S”-like curved.

(Step 15) Draw 2 lines at the top of the head. Draw a flattened “?”-like shape on the right side of the hair.

(Step 16) Draw some curved lines and an upside down “V”.

(Step 17) Draw some more curved lines.

(Step 18) Draw some more curved lines and a backwards “J”-like shape.

(Step 19) Draw a curved line and a wavy shape as well.

(Step 20) Draw a curved line for the collar and a backwards “J”-like shape for one of his legs.

(Steps 21 + 22) Draw some straight and curved lines.

(Step 23) Draw 2 triangle shapes for the zipper pull. Draw sideways #3 shapes for fingers.

(Step 24) Draw another sideways #3 shape for fingers.

(Step 25) Connect the fingers with a “U” shape.

(Step 26) Erase un-needed lines.

(Step 27) Color him in, if you like.
