Do you want to learn how to draw Squidward Tentacles from Spongebob Squarepants? I have put together a step-by-step tutorial that will help you figure out how to draw Squidward Tentacles by using simple shapes to build up Squidward Tentacle’s form. This is an intermediate cartooning tutorial that older kids, teens, and adults will enjoy. Enjoy!
First, Sketch out the Outline of Squidward Tentacles’ head … an oval shape. Don’t worry about mistakes because you can erase these later. Later, you will be using a pen or marker to outline the ‘right’ lines.
Now draw 2 smaller vertical ovals at the bottom of the first bigger horizontal oval. These 2 ovals will be Squidward’s eyes.
Now you should draw a slightly bigger oval between the 2 ovals that you just drew. This will be Squidward’s nose.
Now draw Squidward Tentacles’ frowny mouth slightly above the center of Squidward’s nose.
This step is a little tough for some people. The easiest way to do this is to look at the red line on the left and try to picture it as something that you can draw, like a letter ‘C’ with a small curved line at the top and you can think of the line on the right as a backwards ‘C’ with a small curve at the top or a sideways ‘U’ with a small curve at the right. Just try to picture these lines as something that you know that you can draw.
There are 2 things to do in this step. First draw 3 slightly curved downward lines above Squidward’s eyes. These are Squidward’s brow lines. Now draw rectangles inside Squidward’s eyes…make sure to make them around the size that I made them.
